 ABOUT US
We began our obsession with Pembroke Welsh Corgis in 2003 with a red fluffy named Hank the Cow dog, then a few years later we added a black headed tri named Toby.  Mind you, these were our beloved family pets, we were not interested in a breeding program, well I wasn't anyway.  My husband Monty, the M in MCS Farms - OK, helped his father raise Border Collies as a boy and had quite a bit of first-hand knowledge in raising puppies.  He kept hounding me about breeding PWCs but didn't convince me for many years.  To become a credible breeder, we would have to be prepared to give up a lot of our freedom.  We would have to become dedicated to our program. We would have to be ready to not only celebrate the rewards, but to mourn the heartbreaks that can come with having puppies. It took me13 years to finally feel that I was ready for the challenge and the responsibility.   In the meantime, we began to fetch information and dig into breeding programs.  We introduced ourselves to many Corgi breeders In Oklahoma and asked a lot of questions.  Many of those breeders have become our friends and mentors and we are still in contact today.  Our small three dog program has grown into a whole lot of fluff and just as much wiggle!!
We decided to raise American Kennel Club Pembroke Welsh Corgis.  We register the litters when they are about 1 week old which makes the registration papers available for our clients that wish to follow that path.  Our Corgis are genetically tested for EIC, VWD1, and DM.  We do not test for fluff or bluie, although many of our dogs carry those genes.   We raise healthy puppies who are exposed to other dogs, and to children of all ages.  Our dogs and puppies are extremely social and well-tempered.   We are proud to say that our puppies have developed into Dams, Sires, racers, show dogs, therapy dogs, and family pets.
We will meet a parent or flight nanny at one of our local airports if they choose to fly.  We are not opposed to ground transport if a parent chooses to go that route, The puppy parent would be in charge of those arrangements.  We prefer to meet our parents, face to face, and do not mind driving a little distance to meet half way.
We ask that you take a minute to chew on our information, dig into our program, and bark out any questions that you may have along the way.  You can contact us through this website, via our Facebook page, MCS Farms - OK, personal messenger, or you can use this cell phone number, 580-749-1787.
